After several years of planning for solving the problem with extreme heat in the afternoons when the sun shines directly towards the apartment, we finally came to the conclusion that a foldable electric awning would be the best solution. Several neighbors are investing in pergolas, but it does take space from the terrace and obscures the view a bit. We have tried different umbrellas but nothing works really good. To ensure that the awning does not fly away during windy days, the two brackets were supplemented with an iron beam and two extra brackets! This will be really good!
